The Giants cut Petrus and signed D.J. Jones because they thought Jones was better. Turns out that Jones had an injury they didn’t know about and couldn’t pass his physical, so we were left short a lineman. Sadly Petrus was the best we could do. Now maybe getting cut will motivate the dude to get better – vcan’t get much worse than this preseason at least.
So let’s talk Giants vs. Dallas to open the season. The Giants should have a strong passing game with Eli and his receivers but can the Giants offensive line stop the Dallas pass rusher?
And we have the same question going the other way. Romo is alright and the Dallas wideouts aren’t awesome but the Giants secondary is a mess with all our cornerback injuries. Our only chance, and it’s a good one I think, is for our defensive line to destroy the Cowgirls offensive line. Dallas has had issues with their offensive line too and the Giants pass rush is better than Dallas’ even if they do have the one stud.
